PetzyTop Privacy
Development draft - reviewed 10 October 2026
This describes the inspected development build, not a final released product. Service configuration, audience, retention periods, and a working privacy contact must be confirmed before release.
Who Develops PetzyTop
PetzyTop is developed by Jan-Erik Labbas under the LabbasLabs brand. Contact jamps3@gmail.com for privacy questions. This draft is not release-approved.
Pet Data On Your Device
The app saves pet names, needs, progression, inventory, preferences, settings, care history, and memories on your device. These records support the care and collection features. This review found no implemented cloud synchronization of the pet collection.
Android Backup And Transfer
The development build allows Android backup of shared preferences, including pet stats and settings. Its device-transfer rules also include files and databases. Your device's backup settings and backup provider affect what is backed up. Clearing local app storage does not necessarily delete copies already held by a backup provider.
Advertising And Service Connections
The development build includes Google Mobile Ads, Google's consent tools, Firebase Analytics, and RevenueCat. Rewarded ads are displayed when you choose a sponsored reward in the Shop. Eligible ad requests can load earlier, after the consent flow; choosing not to watch an ad does not by itself prevent all service connections.
Google's Mobile Ads disclosure describes IP addresses, interaction information, diagnostics, and device identifiers used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The final policy must match the SDK version and production settings. See Google's disclosure and Google's privacy policy.
RevenueCat initializes at app startup when a configured SDK key is present. The app uses its ad tracking integration for ad events and revenue reporting. Final identifier, retention, and deletion details remain under review. Firebase Analytics is a dependency; whether it initializes and collects in the final build still requires verification.
City Weather
City weather uses a LabbasLabs caching gateway at jamps.enia.net. When city weather and effects are enabled, the app sends the selected supported city to this server, which requests forecasts for that city's fixed coordinates from MET Norway. This does not use GPS. Our VPS receives your IP address and city; MET receives the VPS IP and city coordinates. Existing server access logs may retain these requests. Log retention is under review.
Forecasts are simplified into pet effects. Weather data: MET Norway, under CC BY 4.0. Local seasonal mode avoids weather-service requests.
Permissions And Choices
Display-over-other-apps permission lets the companion float above other apps. The foreground service keeps the companion running with a notification. The app also requests notification and battery settings and uses vibration. This review found no location permission in the app's own manifest; the final merged manifest must still be checked.
Settings exposes Google's Privacy choices when the consent service requires it. Select seasonal weather to avoid city-weather requests. Revoking overlay permission stops the app from displaying its floating companion.
Deleting Data
Android's app-storage controls can clear local PetzyTop data. This is destructive and does not automatically delete remote advertising or analytics records or existing backups. Provider deletion procedures and the final support process must be verified before release.
Before This Policy Is Final
The intended audience, advertising treatment, analytics behavior, retention, international processing, applicable privacy rights, and a reachable contact are unresolved. No claim of zero tracking, complete offline operation, or child-directed suitability is made by this draft.
